Triple H finally saw the end of the Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa rivalry on NXT

This week’s WWE NXT saw a brutal ending to the Johnny Gargano vs Tommaso Ciampa rivalry.

Triple H had warned both NXT stars earlier that this was going to be their last bout against each other or they would face the consequences.

The pair seemed to take that message to heart as both went hammer and tongs at each other. NXT’s main event for the week was fought all around the arena with some dangerous moves performed by both men.

The ending of the clash was a bit of a shocker as Candice LeRae came out during the clash. She hit her husband, Gargano, with a low blow and that should have seen Ciampa pick up the win.

However, that was a ploy by the husband and wife pair, LeRae then hit Ciampa also with a low blow and Gargano was acting since he was wearing a cup.

The pair celebrated the win as Ciampa was left in a heap, and Triple H also shared his thoughts on the clash.

The Game claimed the rivalry was done but questioned if Gargano was the bigger man after the way he won:

What next for the pair?

NXT has been defined, of sorts, by the rivalry between Gargano and Ciampa. It will be interesting to see what happens next but one of them should move to another brand.

The Game has warned the pair that they cannot fight again, at least on NXT, and that more or less suggests that time is up for them.

Gargano and Ciampa are two of the best performers in WWE and it will be great if they finally get a crack on SmackDown or Raw.

Gargano might have won this clash, but the way he won was certainly questionable.
