Triple H reveals that Edge wants to work more in WWE NXT
WWE superstar and Royal Rumble 2021 winner Edge is apparently looking to feature more prominently on NXT. This is according to NXT founder Triple H.
‘Hunter’ revealed this while holding a media call to promote WWE NXT’s ‘Takeover; Vengeance Day’ (h/t Wrestling Headlines). The PPV is scheduled to take place this Sunday.
Triple H said that Edge has been talking to him for over a year regarding his NXT future. He also mentioned a list of NXT stars that Edge would want to fight.
Apparently, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ will be eyeing younger wrestlers if he does head over to the Gold brand. Triple H also noted that Edge’s WWE return has been done really well.
In all honesty, most fans would have seen this coming, more so after Edge indicated that he might take on an NXT star at WrestleMania 37 later this year.
Could Edge take on NXT star Finn Balor at WrestleMania 37?
Ever since Edge won the Royal Rumble last month, one question has plagued the mind of all WWE fans.
Actually, not just WWE fans. Even WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns has been troubled by it. The Rated R Superstar is yet to announce who he would face in a title fight at WrestleMania 37.
Reigns, of course, has been touted as the most obvious rival. Drew McIntyre, the WWE champion, is another option.
But, a third name has also been in the conversation. It is that of NXT champion Finn Balor. Edge visited the Gold brand earlier this month and met with ‘The Irish Captor’.
His recent comments on NXT would raise fans’ suspicions about him potentially setting a date with Balor at the biggest wrestling stage of them all in March.
