Otis of the Heavy Machinery was the on-screen boyfriend on Mandy Rose for quite a while
Former WWE Superstar Tucker and Otis were a part of an exciting and bustling tag-team, Heavy Machinery that was involved in many a storyline.
Having started out in the NXT, the Heavy Machiner comprising of Tucker and Otis made it to the main roster in December 2018. They made their in-ring main roster debut in (RAW) January 2019 and became an instant hit there as well.
Towards the end of 2019, Otis got involved in a romantic storyline with WWE women’s superstar Mandy Rose. He began helping Rose win matches while affectionately referring to her as ‘peach’.
Dolph Ziggler then got himself involved since he loathed Otis wooing Rose. However, Rose took her on-screen romance to another level when she helped Otis defeat Ziggler at WrestleMania 36. Otis and Rose shared a kiss following his win against Ziggler.
Tucker reveals why Otis flirted with Mandy Rose
Otis was neck-deep into flirting with Mandy Rose. Whenever Rose posted a photo on social media, Otis was there with a flirty comment.
The pair’s romance fizzled out only when the Heavy Machinery was disbanded. Tucker was eventually released from the promotion, earlier this year in April.
Speaking to Wrestling Inc, Tucker explained that Otis flirting with Mandy Rose was just meant to be a joke to her real-life boyfriend Tino Sabbatelli. He also went on to reveal that Rose began liking the idea of Otis flirting since it panned out very well.
Tucker was quoted as saying:
“He just did it on social media. He’s the man. It was just a joke to mess with Mandy’s boyfriend at the time, Tino Sabatelli. I mean, not just to mess with him, but it’s like, ‘Hey, do you think if I do this thing on social media where I just ask Mandy to be my girlfriend all the time, that would be super cringy?’ And I’m like, ‘No, dude, that’d be pretty funny, I think.’ He just started doing it and talked to her, and she was like, ‘Oh, I like it. People are into it. Keep doing it. It’s funny,’ and so anytime she posts a pic, he just takes that picture and was like, ‘Oh, Doz’s future girlfriend’ and posts it right. It just started getting over and became a WrestleMania match.” [via Rajah.com]
