Roman Reigns made an incredible return at WWE SummerSlam and is going straight for the title

There were rumours of Roman Reigns making his WWE return at the show. However, nothing was confirmed as Reigns had been missing since before WrestleMania.

The Big Dog decided not to wrestle due to the coronavirus pandemic and wanted to keep his family safe. Reigns had also battled Leukaemia in the past and such patients were more at risk of contracting the virus.

Nevertheless, Reigns picked the perfect moment to make his WWE return and he surely made an impact.

Fans ecstatic that Reigns is back

Reigns was to face Goldberg for the WWE Universal title at WrestleMania. However, those plans had to be nixed after the Big Dog decided to stop competing just a week or so before the clash.

This time, he emerged right after the main event and took out both rivals. The Fiend had just defeated Braun Strowman to win the title in a falls count anywhere match.

Reigns speared The Fiend several times after the match. He also used steel chairs on both rivals as he stood tall in the ring.

The Big Dog also grabbed the title and he seems ready to fight for it. Reigns should have been the champion after WrestleMania, however, that couldn’t take place.

Reigns returning to SmackDown and WWE is a huge boost for the brand. The Big Dog is one of the biggest names in the promotion and not having him on TV regularly was a big loss for all.

Reigns also posted a message right after SummerSlam and that got the fans excited seeing the former champion return:
