Netizens poured their hearts out and expressed their sorrow on Twitter after Carlos Cabrera was released

Long time WWE commentator, Carlos Cabrera has been let go by WWE. Cabrera was a part of the company for around 30-years, from 1993. He was an integral part of the Spanish commentary team and had covered more than 25 Wrestlemania events.

As per reports from, Hugo Savinovich of Lucha Libre Online, Cabrera was sacked by WWE after 29-years of employment. The reason as to why he was fired has not been revealed yet. The news broke out via Twitter when Savinovich of Lucha Libre Online tweeted the following.

The tweet when translated in English reads, “LAST MINUTE! As Hugo Savinovich has just reported EXCLUSIVELY for Lucha Libre Online, the legendary announcer in Spanish, Carlos Cabrera, has been fired from WWE after 29 years with the company.

Users on Twitter upset with the news

Many users over the internet were not with the decision and expressed their opinion online. People were not happy as to why the veteran commentator was released of his duties.

The fans were furious and expressed their anger at the company. Some even claimed that this decision would haunt them and make them lose their Hispanic viewership.

There has been no official news on Cabrera’s departure. Savinovich, who works for AAA was a part of WWE’s Spanish commentary team with Cabrera from 1994 to 2011. Savinovich’s replacement, Marcelo Rodriguez, will now take over Cabrera’s role as the lead commentator. Jerry Soto will sit alongside him.

Cabrera was a long-serving commentator with the company for nearly 30-years and had covered several events of RAW, Smackdown and pay-per-views. Carlos was one of the most lovable commentators and fans will keep remembering him.He also hosted WWE En Español.
