Twitter reactions to Sasha Banks starring in ESPN Opening Segment for 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship
WWE Superstar and former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will star in ESPN’s opening segment to kick off the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship game.
The segment will feature Banks as a futuristic superhero who sparks the start of the college football national championship using the final confetti from last year’s game in Miami to the teams running out on the field this year in Indianapolis.
This is the latest collaboration between ESPN and WWE. The sports network and entertainment giant previously collaborated when former WWE Champion Big E voiced ESPN’s promo for the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder fight in October.
The game will begin at 8 pm ET and see Georgia square off against Alabama. It will air on ESPN and stream live on the ESPN app.
Sasha Banks has all praise for her new project with ESPN
Banks opened about this new project with ESPN and spoke about her experience working on the set. She had some praising words for the outfit and concept as well.
“It’s been such an honour, I feel like everybody who has been working on the set, and the whole team have been so incredible… to walk in and to just feel so welcome, and just to see everything, and I was just like, it was amazing,” Banks said. “I love the outfit, I love the concept, and it just fit me so well.” (H/t Variety)
She looks fantastic in her futuristic outfit, and these are some of the reactions from the fans on Twitter.
