“Sh** is terrible”, “Who booked this cr**?” – WWE Universe trashes crutch attack between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley both came out with a crutch and well, it didn’t exactly hit the high notes on Raw

WWE has continued this rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair as the pair battle for the Raw Women’s title.

They met more than a year back as Charlotte won the NXT Women’s title at WrestleMania 36 from Ripley.

Ripley is now the Raw Women’s champion and this week, it was Charlotte who came out to speak about an injury.

Ripley had chopped Charlotte’s knee last week and many thought The Queen could be seriously injured.

Charlotte came out on a crutch and before she could complete her thoughts, Ripley also came out with a crutch.

Both stars had the same idea about the other and kicked the crutch off. Charlotte was feigning injury it seems and so was Ripley.

They continued attacking each other with the crutches to, but this all just didn’t feel right.

Ripley is to defend her title at Money in the Bank against Charlotte, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of excitement amongst the fans for this.

Another awful and confusing segment

The faking injury story has been done several times in WWE but this segment was weird.

First and foremost, we are unsure who is the face and who is the heel here. Then comes this segment where Ripley also came out with the crutch.

WWE could have continued pushing Charlotte as injured and then a surprise attack on Ripley. However, they decided not to pursue this angle and more or less confirm that The Queen was trying to get an edge on Ripley.

It might work out in the long run but many fans were just not impressed with this. They brought up earlier instances of this knee injury that worked on other shows while others were just confused as to what WWE was trying to achieve in all this.
