It has finally been revealed why Brock Lesnar legitimately broke out of his pod at Elimination Chamber
The Beast Brock Lesnar went off-script at the WWE Elimination Chamber event by deliberately and legitimately breaking out his pod at Elimination Chamber.
In the chambers’ main event, Lesnar knocked out all of his opponents and dominated his way to win the WWE title once again. Lashley’s pod was selected when two pods were left open, but he was escorted out of the match due to a concussion. However, Lesnar wasted no time waiting and just destroyed his pod to enter the game.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Ringside News), Lesnar broke out of his pod during the match because he did not know Lashley’s pod was supposed to open before his. It has been revealed that the idea was Lashley’s pod would be opened since it was his time, but he wasn’t there.
This was the statement,
“At the 9:20 mark of the match, the idea was that Lashley’s pod would be opened since it was his time, but he wasn’t there. Lesnar obviously knew Lashley would be taken out and not in the match. But he didn’t know they were going to signal for Lashley’s pod to open and it not be Lesnar’s, as he figured he was next. He also knew that they were running low on time and had a hard out when the show had to be over. Lesnar thought it was a mistake and that his pod was supposed to open, so he physically broke out of it and then destroyed everyone.”
Brock Lesnar is set to clash against his long time rival Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38
After this win, Lesnar made it clear that he is completely fearless, and Roman Reigns’ title reign might be finally in danger. He is set to clash against Reigns at a winner takes all match at WrestleMania 38.
This will be a clash for the years as both have been up with their game. It will be interesting to see who eventually ends up with both the WWE and Universal Championship title at WrestleMania.
