WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon has plans set for the top matches at WrestleMania 39
WWE recently aired a new commercial for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event this week, scheduled for Saturday, July 2, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
However, the ad featured Cody Rhodes pushing how the winners of the Money in the Bank ladder matches will get a title shot at WrestleMania. Interestingly he didn’t mention the normal rule of being able to cash in your title shot at any time.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are reports that many people within WWE believed that this year’s Money in the Bank stipulations would be the same as they have been in previous years.
It has also been said by some within WWE that the working on the ad was a mistake, and that wasn’t caught when it aired at WrestleMania Backlash; however, after a few days, WWE aired the same commercial.
One source in WWE has said that McMahon already has plans set for the top matches at WrestleMania 39. These plans do not include Money in the Bank winners in the top title matches. However, the commercial has already been aired three times without an edit.
It is to note that The Rock vs Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been rumoured for WrestleMania Hollywood for some time now, but nothing is confirmed. In addition, Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey has also been rumoured a bit.
WrestleMania 39 turns Hollywood this time and is scheduled for Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2, from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
