Famous Wrestling Writer Vince Russo has his say on when Cody Rhodes will return to WWE
Vince Russo believes that Wrestlemania 38 ticket sales will ultimately determine when Cody Rhodes makes his return to WWE. However, it has not yet been confirmed. Rhodes is expected to re-sign with WWE after recently leaving AEW. It is most likely that his return match will take place at WrestleMania 38 against Seth Rollins.
Russo has told Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Dr Chris Featherstone that Rhodes will be returning on RAW if the WrestleMania ticket sales are bad.
“I think what it’s gonna come down to is ticket sales. If they feel they’re in good shape, I think it behoves them to hold him back as a surprise.” Russo continued, “If they’re not in good shape ticket-wise, then you’re gonna see him beforehand. That’s what it’s gonna come down to.” (H/t Clout)
Russo also talked about what exactly Bruce Pichard, who is the Executive Director of WWE, would have told Vince about Rhodes’s Jacksonville links and how important was it,
“Bruce [WWE’s Executive Director] will know it won’t mean anything to Vince. I’m telling you, bro, I think it really is gonna come down to where we are ticket sales-wise. I would guess they’re still gonna have quite a few tickets to sell. I think that’s why you would see him the RAW before [WrestleMania].”
Soon after Seth Rollins lost to Kevin Owens in the main event of this week’s RAW, announcer Corey Graves would drop several Cody Rhodes hints. First, graves mentioned how Rollins’ WrestleMania hopes had been “dashed” and “his dream has become a nightmare.”
Since Rhodes left WWE, he has made a big name for himself outside of WWE, and his return will definitely be a massive moment.
