Finn Balor and Adam Cole put on a wrestling clinic for the NXT title

Former King of the Ring and Intercontinental Champion, Wade Barrett, enjoyed watching the WWE NXT Championship match between Finn Balor and Adam Cole.

The match took place on the second NXT Super Tuesday as Balor and Cole clashed last week too. The pair met in a Four-way Iron man match and both had two falls each.

William Regal had to step in as both staked their claim to the vacant NXT title. The GM decided that a decider would take place on this week’s NXT and it was an incredible match.

Both Cole and Balor had chances to win the match, but it was the Demon Prince who won it. This was Balor’s second NXT title reign and it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Barrett left impressed

NXT opened with this match and that came as a bit of a surprise since this was PPV main event worthy. Cole and Balor are two of the best in the business, and they even had wrestled together during their Bullet Club days.

Barrett certainly believed this was a great match and claimed this was PPV worthy too.

He also congratulated the two men for the incredible show they put on. NXT seemed to be in a spot of bother after Karrion Kross vacated the title due to a shoulder injury.

Keith Lee, the holder prior to Kross, had also moved to Raw, and they needed someone to step up.

While Cole has been a great champion, it was interesting to see Balor pick up the crown. The Demon Prince hasn’t clicked much since returning to NXT, but this could finally be his time to shine again.

Balor was the first Universal Champion too, and this is a sort of reset for his WWE career.
