WWE NXT commentator Wade Barrett believes LA Knight can main event a future WrestleMania
Former WWE wrestler Wade Barrett has heaped praise on newly re-signed star LA Knight calling him a ‘future main eventer’ at WrestleMania.
LA Knight won the re-introduced Million Dollar Championship after beating Cameron Grimes at NXT Takeover: In Your House, and has been a top star on other promotions.
Now, Barrett believes that Knight is capable of a big push to the higher rosters and is going to do wonders on the developmental brand. He said: (h/t WWE India )
“So to see such a great, historic, prestigious championship back in the world of NXT is fantastic and for it to be around the waist of LA Knight, to me, is just superb,” stated Barrett. “He is the ideal person to continue the legacy of The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and he might even go one further. Ted DiBiase never main evented a WrestleMania, I think LA Knight can certainly do that.”
Knight turned heel after attacking Ted DiBiase Sr, during his coronation ceremony, He is a former IMPACT Global Champion ( as Eli Drake ).
Barrett is impressed with how he has been consistent since his return and should look forward to reinvigorate the battle for the long lost – WWE Million Dollar Championship.
Knight made his debut at NXT Takeover: Vengeance. The American was famous for his performances at IMPACT, after he first left WWE. He has taken part in all NXT Takeover PPVs since his debut. He won his first title this month in a ladder match to win his first title in WWE.
LA returned to WWE in February after leaving the company in 2014. He had a brief stint for a year before moving to other promotions like IMPACT and National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
Knight has all the skills and the pedigree to make it big after his newfound self. He will be hoping to make the most of his second coming and send a reminder to everyone in the NXT roster.
