Asuka seems to be ready to climb the ‘Donkey Kong’ corporate ladder ahead of the 2020 Money in the Bank
Japanese WWE star Asuka took a light dig at the new format for the 2020 Money in the Bank matches.
WWE still has to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and cannot have crowds in their arenas. They dealt with that pretty well at WrestleMania 36 too, but Money in the Bank will be a different ball game altogether.
The Money in the Bank ladder matches will take place at WWE headquarters and their Titan Towers. Wrestlers will have to start from the bottom and then work their way to the top of the building to get the briefcase.
There is no other news of how the other matches will take place or where it will be held either. However, Asuka is preparing hard for the women’s Money in the Bank match.
The former tag champion shared a video of the Donkey Kong game to highlight what the new match could be like.
Donkey Kong is a classic where Mario has to rescue the princess by climbing ladders and avoiding barrels thrown from a giant ape.
That is the question that is on everyone’s mind. Money in the Bank is one of the most popular gimmick matches in WWE, and it is fun when you have six competitors fighting it out to climb the ladder.
However, hosting the matches at the WWE Corporate Headquarters is a new step by the company, and it will be interesting to see how things go there.
WrestleMania 36 was a resounding success, especially with the two story matches featuring John Cena and the Undertaker.
Hopefully, Money in the Bank 2020 is a resounding success, and these corporate ladder matches work out.
