Becky Lynch will defend the Raw Women’s title at WrestleMania 36 against Shayna Baszler
WrestleMania 36 will be held at the WWE Performance Center without any fans, something Becky Lynch touched upon in an incredible video.
The Raw Women’s champion sent a video message to a young WWE fan, Brandon, who is autistic.
The fan was expected to be at WrestleMania 36 this year, however, the coronavirus pandemic led to the event behind held behind closed doors.
Lynch thanked the fan for his support and promised to keep hold of the title too:
“Hi Brandon, this is The Man Becky Lynch. Now, I hear that you are a huge fan and I want to thank you for all the support.
“I also heard that you were supposed to go to WrestleMania this year. Unfortunately, with all that is going on, you’ve had to cancel that but I still am going to be defending the Raw Women’s champion.
“I am going to imagine that you’re gonna be in the crowd, even though there’s not going to be a crowd.”
The next clip from TMZ showcases Brandon’s reaction, and the youngster was ecstatic with Lynch’s response too.
Lynch faces a tough battle
The Man promised to win the title too, and wanted to make Brandon proud:
“I am going to walk out as the Raw Women’s champion and I am going to do it for you Brandon. Keep rooting for me, I’ll make you proud.”
However, it won’t be all that easy for Lynch. Baszler has been a thorn in her side and attacked the champion several times over the past few weeks.
Baszler was into MMA before coming to WWE, and it will be interesting to see how she does in the big event.
The challenger was an NXT champion before coming onto Raw, and this should be one of the best fights of the night.
