Big E had suffered a broken neck and is currently recuperating at home. He has been quite active on social media and has provided his fans with updates regarding his injury status from time to time.

He posted a video where he was pleased to reveal that his mustache had finally connected to his beard. Big E is known for his sense of humor and fans found this video from the former WWE Champion quite hilarious. Many even replied to the video saying that they too had to wait very long to have a connected beard.

There are no reports as yet on when Big E might return to in-ring competition but it’s a huge positive that he is not requiring the neck brace anymore.

When and how did Big E get injured?

Big E and Kofi Kingston teamed up to face the team of Sheamus and Ridge Holland on the March 11 episode of SmackDown when the 36-year-old wrestler got injured.

Big E and Ridge Holland were involved in a spot outside the ring, during the match. Holland delivered a belly-to-belly suplex to E and the latter could not manage to rotate his body fully before landing. The New Day member landed on his neck and was stretchered to a nearby hospital.

Big E later revealed on his Twitter handle that he had fractured C1 and C6 but will not need surgery. He also thanked his fans and well-wishers who poured in messages praying for his speedy recovery.
