Finn Balor confirms his father has beaten Covid-19 and wants to defeat Brock Lesnar next
WWE Superstar Finn Balor recently shared the good news that his father, Fintan Devitt, has beaten Covid-19 and is recovering well.
Devitt was one among the masses of people to have contracted the deadly coronavirus. Given the toll that the pandemic has taken and Devitt’s age, it was a difficult time for the family. However, Finn Balor has confirmed that his father has successfully beaten the virus.
The NXT superstar also revealed that his father had undergone a triple bypass surgery as well as a hip replacement over the past year.
Balor’s father calls out Lesnar
Despite a difficult year, Balor’s father seemed to be in high spirits. In a video shared by Balor announcing the good news on Father’s Day, his dad issued a challenge to former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
Devitt, in the video, can be heard saying: “I wanna fight Brock Lesnar. I wanna beat the crap out of him.” You can check out the clip below.
In less than a year he had a triple heart by pass, a replaced hip and beat Covid-19.

Finn and Lesnar have been involved in a bout before, having gone up against each other in WWE Royal Rumble 2019. The ‘Beast Incarnate’ prevailed against Balor, forcing him to tap out with a Kimura Lock.
But he might stand little chance against Balor’s father.
Jokes aside, it is great to hear that Devitt has won the battle against the deadly pandemic. After a difficult past year, we hope that things go much smoothly for Balor’s family from hereon.
Lesnar hasn’t been seen much since losing his title to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania. However, he still is one of the top draws in WWE and could make a return soon.
