After a dark period of light news following its announcement, word finally started spreading about Paradise City in December. It became known that the show was coming in 2020 and that it has eight episodes.
The teaser was released on May 1st and it features ex WWE star, Marie. There’s little dialogue in the trailer, but it also focuses heavily on former Disney star Bella Thorne and Andy Biersack, who are both playing musicians who have fully embraced the dark and edgy punk rock look.
The trailer briefly shows a number of celebrities who aren’t known for their acting roles, including purple-haired former WWE star Marie and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, who is now a popular social media influencer and model.
So far, the teaser trailer has been watched over 3 million times on YouTube.
Marie quit WWE in 2017
Few professional wrestlers in recent memory have had a more provocative career than Eva Marie.
This is despite, or perhaps part and parcel of, her having made only sporadic primetime in-ring appearances over a four-year run with WWE.
From virtually the day she signed in 2013 up through her departure earlier this month, the 32-year-old California native drew heat that matched her trademark fiery locks. Maybe it was her persona on Total Divas, which betrayed a naiveté about the business.
Coupled with an apparent primitive skill set, Marie was a superstar who drew the crowd’s attention. She has now moved on to appearing in Paradise City and is a fitness star too.
