Matt Riddle is playing the role of the chilled out WWE dude really well and forgot his line in a hilarious botch with Asuka
Matt Riddle is known to be laid back and his WWE character fits him perfectly. The Original Bro had a history of cannabis use during his UFC days and that earned him a lot of trouble.
It was one reason why he was released by the UFC but Riddle had a very good record. Nevertheless, UFC’s loss was WWE’s gain and Riddle has been playing this chilled out dude since his NXT days.
The Original Bro is currently the United States Champion and is often seen in backstage segments. He has tried to sell several business opportunities to other stars but none of them have clicked.
This time, he caught hold of WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka. The pair started the segment off well but Riddle produced a hilarious line botch.
Midway through the segment, Riddle just forgot what his lines were and said:
“I’m sorry, I forgot what I was saying.”
Riddle then rode away on his scooter while Asuka was left confused at it all.
However, this wasn’t the worst botch ever. There was the foot stomp by Bobby Lashley that completely missed the spot.
Asuka and Riddle did play this off well. Riddle is someone who could forget what he is saying, given the character he plays, and Asuka didn’t completely go off the rails as she looked legitimately confused.
Matt Riddle has no time for games at WrestleMania 37
Riddle, however, does have a tough job on his hands at WrestleMania 37. He defends the US title against Sheamus and was defeated by the Celtic Warrior on Raw.
Riddle also spoke on Raw Talk after the show and there were tensions between MVP and the champion. MVP had tried to recruit Riddle into the Hurt Business and there was a lot of back and forth between the two.
However, there was another hilarious moment in all this after MVP claimed he also forgot what he wanted to say and then laughed on screen.
