WrestleMania 38 witnessed a surprise No Holds Barred Match between Stone Cold and Kevin Owens. So what is No Holds barred in WWE?
In WWE, a no holds barred match is a no-disqualification match or “anything goes round. Everything is allowed in this match, from weapons to outside interferences. Wrestlers can’t also be disqualified during the contest.
The company has witnessed some of the best No Holds Barred Matches which have seen bloodfest and brawls of the highest order. Some of the best No Holds Barred matches are:
1. Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon vs Shawn Michaels and God
2. Chistian v Randy Orton – Summerslam 2011
3. Randy Orton vs Mick Foley- Backlash 2004
4. HHH vs Vince McMahon- Armageddon 1999
5. HHH v Undertaker – Wrestlemania 27
All of these matches included several weapons like Ladders, tables, chairs, and even nails. In addition, outside interferences made the match more exciting and Thrilling.
WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin finally made his in-ring return which appears to be his final wrestling match 19 years after officially retiring from the ring.
WrestleMania Night One closed with Austin returning to the ring with a scintillating entrance. Owens said he invited Austin to WrestleMania for a No Holds Barred Match. Austin quickly reacted to it and called for a referee for the match to begin.
The Texas RattleSnake dominated most of the match, which consisted of a lot of Brawling. However, Austin did take a few kicks, Suplexes and even a Stunner.
But the match went through the crowd around the ringside area. Stone Cold took Owens in his ATV to the Ramp and got the win with a Stone Cold Stunner. After the match, he dropped Owens with another stunner and kicked him out of the ring. Then started the beer bash as WrestleMania Night one went off the air.
