The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson unveils her new WWE ring name
It looks like WWE Legend The Rock‘s daughter Simone Johnson finally gets her WWE ring name as she prepares for her WWE NXT Television debut.
WWE recently trademarked “Ava Raine” with the USPTO on May 13th. Simone Johnson is now using the name on her official Twitter account. Her Twitter handle can be seen below:
Johnson signed with the company back in February 2020 and began her training at the WWE Performance Center. Most fans expected that she would possibly make her debut in the NXT’s Women’s Breakout Tournament, but she was nowhere to be seen.
On the recent episode of NBC’s Young Rock, The Great One spoke about his early days in professional wrestling as Flex Kavana. The Brahma Bull desired that how he wanted to make his own path and not use his father’s name to get himself over.
Dwayne Johnson spoke on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon about his daughter joining WWE and noted that Simone wants to rise due to her own skills and has nothing to do with her last name.
“What an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps, but more importantly – follow in my footsteps sounds cliche – but she actually wants to create and blaze her own path,” Dwayne Johnson said on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon [0:11 – 0:29]
The Rock’s daughter will be making her NXT debut soon, and one thing is sure there will be a lot of pressure on the fourth-generation superstar. It will be interesting to see how she copes with all this.
