Anya Zova Career and Personal Life
Anya is a comedian, actress and professional athlete. She has done a bit of everything in her career. Here is everything you need to know about the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star.
Bogomazova was born on April 7, 1990, in the Soviet Union to a Russian father and Ukrainian mother. At just the age of 5, she took up calisthenics but, after some time, played tennis. At the age of 14, she took up Kickboxing. She was placed first in the Russian kickboxing Championship in 2008 and the Kickboxing World Cup in 2011.
After doing pretty well in Kickboxing, she got the attention of WWE and was assigned to its developmental territory. However, in early 2013 she broke her arm during a training session, which led to her being released from her developmental contract. She even filed a suit against Steve Keirn Inc. and World Wrestling Entertainment Inc, claiming that the defendants did not properly train other amateur wrestlers who ran to the plaintiff while she warmed up. On June 23, 2017, her lawsuit was voluntarily dismissed.
In 2020, Bogoazova made her debut on US television in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine and TV Series MacGyver. In April 2022, she toured the US with her won comedy show “Make Laughs not War” supporting Ukraine and uniting people.
She even posted on Twitter, pointing to WWE and NXT.
