Asuka hasn’t been on WWE TV for a while and here is why she has been missing from action
Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka was in the limelight for a while but she has been missing from action since the Money in the Bank match which took place in the middle of July.
Asuka’s last singles match took place in June but she appeared regularly for the build up for the PPV.
However, the Japanese star hasn’t been seen on Raw at all, despite her being active on social media a lot.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc) reports that Asuka is fine but she just isn’t being used by WWE for any storyline.
The report adds that she has been present at Raw tapings but leaves early since she isn’t booked to appear on the show.
Asuka remains one of the biggest names on the WWE roster. However, there still is no news of when she will be working live TV events or even appear on Raw.
Asuka being given a bit of a break by WWE?
Taking Asuka off air could be a way to keep her fresh and it will be interesting to see when she comes back to action.
The Japanese star hasn’t been included in the feud which has seen Nikki ASH become the new champion.
ASH will defend the title against Rhea Ripley and Charlotte at SummerSlam, and this triple threat match could be an interesting one.
Ripley and Charlotte are former champions and we could see the return of Asuka once a new champion is declared.
However, ASH has been on a huge rise and has been a breath of fresh air with her new gimmick. She faces her toughest challenge yet, and she would have to use all her powers to come out unscathed after Saturday.
