Why did The Undertaker make a surprise appearance at Elimination Chamber 2020?

The Undertaker appearing was one of the few highlights from Elimination Chamber 2020

The card for Elimination Chamber 2020 wasn’t all that great but the appearance of The Undertaker was one of the highlights from the PPV.

It was underwhelming that several top belts were not up for grabs in this PPV, and it was tough seeing what kind of excitement would take place.

Fortunately, the Elimination Chamber matches were good and the Drew Gulak vs Daniel Bryan clash was noteworthy too.

There was another fight on the cards that got everyone talking, Aleister Black vs AJ Styles.

The pair had been feuding for a while now and this was a NO DQ match at Elimination Chamber. As expected, it was the other members of the OC who also intervened in the match.

Styles and Black were having a quality battle before The OC came in and helped Styles get the upper hand.

The match was going back and forth before The OC came in, but Styles decided to mock the Undertaker at one point too.

The leader of The OC wanted to perform a Tombstone pile-driver but Black countered by using a steel chair.

Black also sent Styles through a table before the OC jumped in, but a familiar sound treated the WWE fans in the arena.

The Deadman is here

It was The Undertaker that caused Styles to lose the Tuwaiq Trophy at Super Showdown a few weeks back.

Styles seemed set to win that Gauntlet match, but Taker came in as a replacement at the last moment to chokeslam his way to a win.

The Deadman was here again and first took out Luke Gallows and Karl Andersen. Styles then tried to hit Taker with a Phenomenal Forearm, but the Deadman caught hold of Styles.

He then chokeslammed Styles which provided Black with the chance to pick up the win.

The Dutch Destroyer hit a Black Mass and defeated Styles in a huge win for his career.

What next for Taker?

This should set up the match between Taker and Styles at WrestleMania 36. Granted Taker isn’t the same performer as he was more than a decade ago, but the Deadman can still draw the crowds and get cheers.

Styles, for his part, is still one of the best performers in WWE. The former champion will have to do the load of the work in this battle, but he can make any match look great.

WWE has one month to work on this and build a proper rivalry, and hopefully, Styles and Taker put on a show in April.
