Jerry Soto released a statement following his release

The 31-year old was signed by WWE in October 2011 and was released nine years later due to COVID-19 budget cuts. After the release, he issued a statement where he mentioned that he is jobless and has been on furlough since March. He further mentioned joining some other sector, preferably acting.

“Hi. Officially, I don’t have a job. I’m taking a bit of your time to tell you that I’ve been on furlough since March. Now, the time has come to get another job, preferably acting. I write it here so that you have me in mind with employment opportunities. Thanks for your time. It is not the end, but another beginning. If you’ve lost your job too, patience, joy and strength, and everyone, a disinfected hug!” (H/t EWrestling News)

His last appearance on WWE programming was on March 19, 2020, where he appeared on WWE with the Spanish commentary team along with Marcelo.
