Randy Orton and Riddle lost their RAW Tag Team Championships at last week’s episode of SmackDown in a Winners take all, tag team unification match against The Usos.
This week on RAW, Riddle opened the show and cut a disappointing figure. He was distraught after losing the tag titles to The Usos. The former United States Champion revealed that Randy Orton has been dealing with debilitating back issues over the last couple of years. Riddle also stated that Orton was barely able to walk and certainly not in the best shape to compete last week on SmackDown. However, the Viper knew how much the match meant to his partner and the WWE Universe. So the 14-time world champion went on to have the match.
Riddle saddened the fans by saying that he is unsure if the popular duo will ever compete together in the ring again. The announcers teased that the WWE Universe might have seen the last of the Legend Killer.
Orton and Riddle formed a tag team in April 2021. They won their first match together against Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. RK-Bro won the RAW Tag Team Championships for the first time at the 2021 SummerSlam from AJ Styles and Omos.
The babyface team reigned for 142 days before dropping the titles to the Alpha Academy. RK-Bro once again captured the RAW Tag Team Championships on the March 7 episode of WWE’s red brand. Their second reign as champions ended after 74 days last week on SmackDown.
Riddle seeks revenge from The Bloodline
Riddle continued with his promo this week where he praised The Usos but detested the way they won the match last week on SmackDown.
An emotionally charged Riddle said he will get his revenge on The Bloodline before he hangs up his boots. The 36-year-old also called Roman Reigns a “Tribal Piece of Trash”.
Riddle got some sort of revenge later on in the night. He had teamed up with The Street Profits to face The Usos and Sami Zayn in a six-man tag team match.
After The Usos left Zayn all by himself at one point in the match, Riddle picked up the victory after delivering the RKO, paying tribute to his mentor Orton who must have been watching.
Later in a backstage interview, Riddle said that the revenge is not complete until the future of RK-Bro is uncertain.
