WWE Legend William Regal posts heartfelt message following his release
William Regal became one of the victims of mass release happening at WWE. It was announced earlier today that due to changes with the WWE NXT 2.0 brand, the company is casting several writers, producers and coaches.
Regal, who has been a part of the company for more than two decades, took to Twitter and wrote a heartfelt message about his time in the company and gracefully said no one to reply as he won’t be speaking any lousy word against WWE.
“Thank you to @WWE for a wonderful 21 year run. You gave a lad who was happy and in wonderland wrestling on a carnival have a charmed life for 21 years. No complaints and please no one waste time replying as I won’t have a bad work said against the company.x”
WWE issued a statement yesterday following the release
“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”
William Regal worked as WWE’s Director of Talent Development and head of Global Recruiting, being the main talent scout for the company. Regal had been a part of WWE since 2000.
WWE Hall of Famer “Road Dogg” Brian James was the first name revealed along with Sarah Cummins, working as the Senior Vice President of Consumer Products. James worked with the superstars on their promos and character development in NXT and worked on producing matches.
Many WWE Superstars and veterans posted a tribute to William following his release, and many were really grateful that because of him, they could make their dream come true of becoming a part of WWE.
