The wrestling world lost another pioneer after the death of ECW and Hardcore legend New Jack

Recent WWE and wrestling fans might not know much about the naughty 90s but this was where some of the most dangerous wrestling matches took place, and not in WWE.

This was a time where hardcore was big and ECW was certainly doing its bit. The Sandman, Rob Van Dam, Sabu and many others took ECW to new heights.

The Dudleys were also in ECW and made their name in the promotion but New Jack is one of the most controversial names to come out from the promotion.

New Jack, Jerome Young, was a rising talent in other promotions but formed the Gangstas tag team with Mustafa Saed.

The ECW star won several tag titles during his time with the promotion, and he was known for using a ton of weapons and blading.

Jack also had deep scars on his head after repeatedly blading during these shows, but he always gave it his all in the ring.

Jack was 58-years-old when news of his death was shared. Reports suggested that the former ECW star had passed away due to a heart attack, and his Facebook page confirmed the same.

Stars pay their respects to New Jack

While New Jack didn’t actually make a big mark in WWE, he still is considered as one of the toughest stars to have graced the business.

Many WWE stars ranging from Bully Ray to Mia Yim paid their tributes to the fallen wrestling legend.

Mickie James, who was recently released by WWE, also had some stories of the ECW legend

Zelina Vega, who shot a segment with WWE ahead of a possible return, also shared an image of Young.
