Renee Young has had a terrible week so far after WWE Backstage was cancelled and she tested positive for Covid-19

WWE commentator Renee Young confirmed that she had tested positive for Covid-19 (coronavirus) and capped off a poor week for the Canadian.

Young also saw the end of WWE Backstage on Fox, which was one show she regularly featured on.

Backstage also had other WWE stars appearing regularly and it will be interesting to see what is next for them.

WWE has been hit hard with the coronavirus. Reports suggested that a few performers had contracted Covid-19 recently, and steps were being taken to test all the wrestlers.

Young’s positive test also led to Jon Moxley missing out on AEW Dynamite. Moxley was to appear on last night’s show, however, AEW confirmed that the champion had come in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus.

Young posted a message regarding her positive test, but wished everyone stayed safe:

“Man. What a few days. My show gets cancelled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone”

These are tough times for the WWE star, but she does have support from all corners.

Wrestling world unites for Young

The coronavirus has devastated many countries and numbers of the infected are still increasing in the US.

While Young is expected to remain at home under quarantine, many wrestlers came out in support for her.

Deonna Purrazzo, JBL and Wade Barrett were some ex-WWE stars to tweet their support to Young. Jerry Lawler also posted his regards and claimed they are “in your corner”.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and Tag champion Bayley also posted regarding the same:

Bayley and Young have this rivalry going on Twitter, but that was put aside for this moment.

Alexa Bliss, Dolph Ziggler, Sasha Banks, Mustafa Ali were just a few WWE stars that tweeted messages to Young.

Many AEW stars also did the same as they wanted Young to recover quickly.

Hopefully, not too many people have been infected in all this. Young was on a SmackDown segment regarding Matt Riddle’s debut against AJ Styles too.
