WWE 2K22 is slated to release on 11 March and fans can’t wait for the release of the latest instalment in WWE’s 2K series – here is everything you need to know about MyFaction mode
WWE 2K21 was cancelled last year. This year the excitement is quite high among the fans as the release date comes closer.
2K is adding a new collector mode – MyFaction, to the game. Let’s take a look at exactly what this new mode brings to the table.
Terrell Carter is the developer of WWE 2K22. Carter discussed the new feature on Operation Sports.
MyFaction is an offline, single-player card-collecting mode featuring current and former WWE Superstars. It has a lot of similarities with other card collecting modes like MyTeam seen in 2k’s NBA video games.
Players will have to build a team (faction) by completing matches, challenges and earning rewards. In-game points and currency can also be used to obtain specific cards.
There will be several gem levels, such as Bronze, Silver, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, and, Diamond. Other cards can be made available as DLC in the future.
It is learned that Proving Grounds will function as MyFaction’s story mode. It will offer players rewards as they continue playing the game. The level of difficulty will have to be chosen before the match and it is going to determine how many points one earns. MyFaction points are based on three levels as rewards.
WWE 2K22 is set to release on March 11th, 2022. Players who pre-order WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition or WWE 2K22 nWo 4-Life Edition will get 3-day early access allowing them to play the game from March 8.
WWE 2K22 will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox series XIS, and Xbox One.
The game will release with various enhancements to the gameplay engine and controls. There will be new modes like Showcase, MyRise, MyGm, and MyFaction.
