AEW Star Chris Jericho hospitalized in the UK
Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho had to cancel his band Fozzy’s gig in Swansea after being hospitalized in the United Kingdom.
Fozzy is currently undertaking a 12-date ‘Save the World’ tour of the UK and was meant to perform at Swansea City in Wales on Friday. However, with Jericho hospitalized, the show seems to have been canceled after a social media page reportedly belonging to the venue confirmed the 52-year-old had been taken to the hospital.
However, The page revealed that it has nothing related to Covid. It was said that he was checked into the hospital by doctors, and it’s a treatable issue.
“Chris was checked into the hospital by doctors, with a non-Covid related, treatable health issue,” the page said in a statement, claiming the message was from the band.”
They also mentioned that the tickets would be refunded.
“Regrettably the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled, and all tickets will be refunded. Will have updates on Saturday’s show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible.”
Jericho is one of the most iconic veterans in the wrestling circuit now. He is currently with All Elite Wrestling. He is a one-time Undisputed WWF Champion. Jericho is a former six-time world champion. He has held the WWE Intercontinental Championship nine times and was the ninth Triple Crown Champion. He is also the fourth grand slam champion in history.
Jericho joined AEW in January 2009 and became the inaugural holder of the AEW World Championship.
