WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly to potentially return in backstage role
According to PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc.), 2021 WWE Hall of Fame inductee and former Women’s Champion Molly Holly could potentially return to the company in a backstage role.
Molly Holly first signed for WWE in 2000, after stints in the independent circuit as well as the WCW. She went on to enjoy an illustrious career in the company. A two-time WWE Women’s Champion and a one-time Hardcore Champion, she retired from full-time wrestling in WWE in 2005.
Since then, she has made sporadic appearances for the company, appearing in a number of Women’s Battle Royal matches as well as the Royal Rumble.
Molly Holly was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year in the lead-up to WrestleMania 37, joining the likes of The Great Khali, Eric Bischoff, Kane in the Class of 2021.
Molly Holly to return as backstage producer?
It is now being claimed that Molly Holly was backstage for Monday night’s RAW from the WWE Thunderdome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa.
The new Hall of Fame inductee is said to have been there to try out for a role as producer, amid talks that she may be re-hired by the company in backstage capacity.
WWE have a number of former wrestlers working as producers in the backstage. The likes of Jamie Noble, D-Von Dudley, Tyson Kidd, Jason Jordan are some of the names as is Shane Helms, a.k.a., The Hurricane – Molly Holly’s former partner when she worked the ‘Mighty Molly’ persona.
Someone like her would certainly be an asset to the company given what she has to offer. It remains to be seen if there is any development on this front in the coming days.
