Bron Breakker defended his NXT Championship in a triple-threat match this week at NXT Roadblock against his friend Tommaso Ciampa and rival Dolph Ziggler.
The match had everything in it. Speed, power, improvisation, and class. There were regular interferences caused by Ziggler’s mate Robert Roode.
Bron dominated the early goings as his jaw-dropping strength was on full display. He would deliver a spine buster to Ziggler before hitting a clothesline on Ciampa. He would follow it up with a double vertical suplex on Ciampa and Ziggler and to make it more impressive, he followed it up with a kip-up.
Ciampa was impressive during the middle phase of the match. He would take out Ziggler inside the ring first and then pull off an incredible dive over the top rope and take out Bron.
At one point in the match, Ciampa and Bron worked in unison to take out Ziggler. Ciampa delivered an atomic drop on Ziggler and Bron followed it up with a belly-to-belly suplex.
A scintillating moment in the match came when Ciampa looking to hit a running knee on Ziggler, inadvertently took out Bron. Ziggler would capitalize hitting Ciampa with a famouser and a zig-zag but Ciampa kicked out.
Towards the closing stages, Bron took out Ciampa with a spear. He delivered a spear on Dolph and followed it up with a power slam. He went for the cover but Roode pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the count.
In the end, Ciampa looked the hit the running knee on Bron but Roode pulled him out of the ring. Ciampa turned back right into a superkick from Ziggler. Ziggler would go for the cover and score the victory.
Bron Breakker’s championship reign lasted for 63 recognized days. This is Dolph Ziggler’s first title reign in NXT.
