WWE Raw superstar and former hurt business member Shelton Benjamin has been ruled out with an injury for an indefinite period

WWE star Shelton Benjamin took to Twitter to announce his injury. He announced that he had received an undisclosed injury that will keep him on the shelf for a while.

The 46-year old wrote, “For only the second time In my career An injury has put me on the shelf. I’ll be back soon. In the meantime I will be putting in the work to come back better than I was before my little setback. See you guys soon!”

The veteran also revealed that it was just the second time in his career that an injury ruled him out. According to reports, he was once out with an injury before WrestleMania 20 way back in 2004 and again before his return to the company in 2017, where he had suffered from a torn rotator cuff.

Benjamin has been off television for quite some time. His last televised appearance was on 1st April 2022, where he took part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, in a losing bout. He last competed in the 25th April 2022 episode of Main Event, where he and Cedric Alexander lost to the team of Street Profits.

Recently, Benjamin also had to clarify doubts on his social media handle about him leaving the company. The rumors arose after his team lost several matches leading to WrestleMania 38.

Wrestling fans and WWE Superstars on Twitter were quick to notice the update posted by Shelton Benjamin and poured in their wishes for the former Intercontinental champion.

Several other professional wrestlers such as Keith Lee, Lance Archer, and El Desperado also wished Benjamin a quick recovery. We at Media Referee hope Shelton Benjamin gets well soon and we see him back in action again.
