WWE has revealed the new logo for SummerSlam 2022 which takes place on Saturday, July 30 from Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
The Biggest Event of Summer is just a few months away and WWE has unveiled a new logo for the pay-per-view. SummerSlam is considered one of WWE’s original Big Four events alongside WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series.
Last year we saw Becky Lynch make her surprise return as she defeated Bianca Belair in just 26 seconds. John Cena’s last match in WWE also happened to be at last year’s event where he faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in a losing cause.
After Cena lost the match, Brock Lesnar made his return to confront the Tribal Chief. So there are plenty of surprises and big matches that WWE is surely planning on and the unveiling of the new logo is a great way to keep the fans excited for the big event.
Which Superstars are likely to feature at this year’s SummerSlam?
While it’s too early to predict the matches we might get to see at the event, WWE has released a promotional poster that features some of the biggest superstars the company has in its ranks.
The poster features the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns.
There might be a surprise comeback for John Cena or even The Rock, who is reportedly in the plans to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
Bayley is also scheduled for a return this month but WWE might want to hold back the Role Model till the big event to shock the WWE Universe.
As for now, the upcoming WWE pay-per-view is WrestleMania Backlash and you can check out the match card for the event here.
