There was a contract signing between The Usos and RK-Bro ahead of their tag team title Unification Match at WrestleMania Backlash. Unfortunately, the contract signing was interrupted when two teams started to brawl against each other.
Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns came running out to keep the peach during the signing, but it eventually led to Reigns and McIntyre facing off against each other. It seems like McIntyre will be the WrestleMania Backlash opponent for Reigns. During the brawl, The Scottish star got the better of Reigns with a Belly-to belly suplex.
Last week Sami Zayn ran off some from the Lumberjack match as he was able to bring The Bloodline and cause a distraction to escape through the audience once again. But this time, WWE Official Adam Pearce didn’t accept what Zayn did and ordered him to face McIntyre in a steel cage match.
Zayn could not escape this time and paid the price for it as he was dominated by McIntyre and, in the end, lost the bout to him.
Last week on SmackDown, Richochet was challenged to an Intercontinental Championship match by Shanky. Of course, Jinder Mahal wanted the match, but Shanky laid down the challenge first.
Richochet was able to retain the title and overcome this challenge. However, the split between Shanky and Mahal has been teased again. These teases could go on for a few weeks before the split becomes official.
Raquel Gonzalez made a name for herself on NXT, and now she has been finally called up to SmackDown but with a name change to “Rodriguez” following her move to SmackDown.’
She wrestled enhancement talent and was able to beat them quickly to make her notice.
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair are set to face off in a WrestleMania rematch at the WrestleMania Backlash in an “I Quit Match”, but these two women were put in a Beat The Clock Challenge against two respective opponents.
Rousey took on returning a Shotzi while Charlotte Flair battled Aliyah. Former UFC Campion defeated her opponent as a part of the challenge, but for Flair, her clock expired as she caught Aliyah in the Figure Eight Leg Lock submission. Unfortunately, she couldn’t do it faster than Rousey.
