Here’s all that happened on this Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode
With WWE Day 1 PPV around the corner, the company is building up to the main event. Brock Lesnar returned on Friday night and teased the returning of Paul Heyman as an “advocate”.
There were quite a few big matches on SmackDown last night. First, the RAW Tag Team Champions took on a triple threat contest against SmackDown tag team champions The Usos vs The New Day, in which The Usos Dominated the action even The Viper unloaded. Still, in the end, The New Day picked up the victory as King Woods worked Kingston to pin The Usos.
After a lot of hassle and tassel finally, Naomi got a chance to get her hands on WWE Official Sonya Deville. Later, Natalya will be the special guest ring announcer and Shayna Baszler as the timekeeper. Naomi ensured that no one came in here and Deville’s way as she put the other aside.
Deville tried to get the upper hand as then only Xia Li made her debut and came face to face to Naomi. Both of them took on her as Li flattened her, and Naomi gave a moonsault, but the heels rescued Deville somehow.
Drew McIntyre took on Sheamus and unleashed hell upon each other in a physical encounter. Both put on a heavily intense fight but got the win with a Claymore in the McIntyre.
Charlotte Flair thrashed Toni Storm on Friday Night WWE SmackDown
Toni took on WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair after the pie incident in one-on-one action. However, Storm had no idea as Flair came out with a furious punch to the face of Storm. But it was just a matter of time as Storm came back with a surprising dropkick to Flair and also with a Lateral Press.
In the end, Flair kept attacking Storm even after the referee’s warning, which led to her disqualification of giving Storm the victory. Then, the Queen of WWE went furious and attacked Storm and even taunted her with the title after the match.
