1.Paul Heyman Addressed the Events of Last Week

Paul Heyman was not present in the arena this Friday Night, but a video package did make a lot of firing statements. Heyman was fired by Universal Champion Roman Reigns last week.

Heyman sat across from Kayla Braxton for a special interview. He said that he didn’t regret telling The Tribal Chief the truth and explained that it was his role to tell him the brutal facts.

He said that he would put everything into being the special counsel for Reigns. Other than that, maybe it’s time to acknowledge that my career is most likely over. 

2. SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Charlotte Flair vs Toni Storm

Friday Night SmackDown saw Charlotte Flair defending SmackDown Women’s Championship title against Toni Storm. Last week after upsetting WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion in tag team action, Storm challenged The Queen for the title in the night’s opening match.

Match started with Flair’s early dominance, she kept the insults going over Storm, which challenged her up and allowed her to make a comeback, but it was just a matter of time when Flair cut her off again and got control of the match. 

The Queen attempted to cheer her way to victory, but the referee caught her with her hands on the ropes during a roll-up attempt, but it was just a matter of time as Flair reversed a roll-up attempt made by Storm and this time scored a clear pinfall to take up the victory.

3. 12 days of Christmas Gauntlet Match

12 days of Christmas Gauntlet match happened on Friday Night SmackDown to determine who would become the next challenger to Shinsuke Nakamura’s Intercontinental Championship.

Angel of Los Lotharios and Mansoor started the action, but it was just a matter of time when the heel sent the Saudi Arabian packing. 

Erik hit the ring as Angel’s next opponent. He rocked Angel with a knee to the face and then downed him with a suplex for two, but Angel somehow made a comeback and got the win with another Wing Clipper.

The 7ft1 Shanky entered next and flattened his opponent as Angel was eliminated.

The Viking Raider’s Ivar arrived next and fought power to power and, in the end, eliminated Shanky with a middle rope splash. Next, former WWE Champion Sheamus made his way to the ring. He controlled the match throughout even though Ivar fought back but got the win with a Brogue Kick in the end.

Next up to the ring was Drew Gulak, but it was just a matter of time for him as he sent him packing following a Brogue Kick in just 5 seconds.

A WWE veteran and experienced Cesaro made his way to the ring, but Cesaro felt defensive as Sheamus targeted his injured ribs. An interference from Holland and a Brogue Kick from Sheamus sent Cesaro packing. 

Ricochet entered the ring put up a great show against the former champion. First, there were two or three close calls and pins. Then, Cesaro reappeared and wiped out Holland, which helped Ricochet capitalise on the distraction.

Humberto of Los Lotharios hit the ring and drove Richochet into the corner with a dropkick, but the latter got his feet up and did a Recoil to send him to the showers.

Former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal entered next and overpowered Richochet. He set up for the Khallas, but the babyface rolled through for the quick win. (Mahal eliminated)

Sami Zayn entered the match last after a full recovery from Brock Lesnar’s F-5; Ricochet caught him with a jumping hurricanrana for a dramatic two-count. Next, Richochet went for a Shooting Star Press, but Zayn got the knees up, delivered another exploder, and ended the match with a Helluva Kick.

Zayn won the 12 Days of Christmas Gauntlet.

4. Miracle on 34th Street Fight: Drew McIntyre and New Day vs Madcao Moss and Usos

The annual holiday tradition happened in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight in the night’s main event as The New Day. Drew McIntyre took on SmackDown tag team champions The Usos and Madcap Moss, accompanied by Happy Corbin.

Corbin beat McIntyre with a candy cane-themed kendo stick. The Usos dominated New Day with gift boxes and Christmas trees at ringside. New Day made a comeback s Woods used a steel chair and delivered a Van Dominator to Jey Uso while Kingston went on with a Boom Drop to Jimmy.

Woods poured eggnog on Corbin, and then McIntyre added another Pitcher to the former King and one to Moss. Finally, McIntyre hit a Claymore to Moss for the victory.
