WWE Superstar Toni Storm becomes the number 1 contender but gets brutally attacked
Just weeks after the pies incident between Toni Storm and SmackDown Champion Charlotte Flair, This week’s Friday Night SmackDown saw Storm getting thrashed by Flair.
Toni took on Flair, but before the match, WWE played the recap of what went down between the two before that match. Storm had no idea as Flair came out with a furious punch to the face of Storm. But it was just a matter of time as Storm came back with a surprising dropkick to Flair and also with a Lateral Press.
The Storm continued with the attack, but suddenly, the context of the fight changed when Flair hit her with a boot and dragged her to the corner. She then started attacking her with a Figure 8. Toni counter attacked and hit her with a German suplex to go for the pin, but Flair was kicked out.
In the end, Flair sent Storm onto the steps and shoved her back into the post, the referee kept giving her repeated warnings, but she didn’t listen, which made her disqualified and gave Storm the victory.
Flair was furious after the disqualification as she hit a massive boot to the face for Storm. Then, the Queen of WWE picked her title and taunted Storm as she left the ring. Even with all the attacks, it is now clear that Storm has secured the no.1 contenders spot. It is still not clear, though, that at WWE Day 1 PPV, it will be only Storm vs Flair or will it be a Triple Threat match instead.
The Following weeks of SmackDown might give us the information to that.
