WrestleMania Backlash is WWE’s first pay-per-view after their showpiece event WrestleMania 38, and will feature some great matches.
WrestleMania Backlash will take place on Sunday, May 8, 2022, from 8 p.m. onwards (ET). There will be a kickoff show, one hour prior to the 8 p.m. start. As with all major WWE events, WrestleMania Backlash will stream live on Peacock in US and WWE Network elsewhere.
The event will be held at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. This will only be the second time the Backlash event will take place after it was rebranded as WrestleMania was added before the name.
There have been a number of high-profile matches that WWE has already announced for the event.
The pay-per-view will feature top superstars like Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, Ronda Rousey, Edge, and many more. There are 4 WrestleMania rematches scheduled to take place at the event. There was a Winners Take All Tag Team Championship Unification match that was scheduled initially but that was changed later on and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre were added to the match, making it a non-title six-man tag team match.
