Malakai Black was all over Cody Rhodes on his AEW Dynamite Debut
Following his release from the WWE in June 2021, Malakai Black signed with the AEW and made his debut on the 7th of July at AEW Dynamite.
And a month later, on the 4th of August, he made his in-ring debut against AEW Vice President Cody Rhodes.
Right from the beginning of the match, Black began having the upperhand.
He started off with a vicious inside leg kick that hurt rhodes, before following it up with an eye-gouger as Rhodes tried to come back.
Black was too quick and huge for Rhodes. Rhodes did try his best attempting his special move crossroads, at one point, but it never came to fruition.
Rhodes was thrown of the ring as he landed on the timekeepers table following a high kick from Black.
Just as Rhodes beat the referee’s count he was greeted with a ‘Black Mass‘ from Black, even as the newly-released star standing pinned him.
Zelina Vega reacts to Malakai Black’s victory over Cody Rhodes
WWE Superstar Zelina Vega was happy for her husband Malakai Black demolishing Cody Rhodes.
Taking to Twitter she posted a ‘smiling face with tear’ emoji following the conclusion of Black vs Rhodes.
Just a couple of months ago, Vega was not a part of the WWE, and Black looked like he was going to be a part of the promotion for quite a long time following the introduction of his Dark Father gimmick.
However, things took a dramatic turn, as Black was released from the promotion and Vega who was previously not a part of the WWE, returned a couple of weeks after her husband was released.
