Zelina Vega shot segments with WWE ahead of shock return
According to Fightful Select (h/t Ringside News), Zelina Vega could be set for a shock return to WWE after she was seen at the WWE Performance Centre on May 13th.
Zelina Vega, real-life Thea Trinidad, was released by WWE towards the backend of the last year due to a supposed “breach of contract” for her continued use of Twitch, OnlyFans after WWE issued a third-party ban prohibiting performers from using those platforms along with their YouTube channels as well.
Prior to her release from the pro-wrestling behemoth, Vega was largely associated with Andrade Almas, acting as his manager, while also forming a faction with El Idolo and Angel Garza.
Following the breaking up of the band, Vega was involved in a couple of singles bouts against then WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, but soon found herself out of the company.
However, it seems like the parting of ways was only a temporary one as Zelina Vega could be set for a return to WWE.
The aforementioned report has claimed that Vega was spotted at the WWE Performance Centre on May 13th. And she is said to have filmed some content ahead of a possible comeback.
This development comes on the back of her husband Aleister Black receiving a character makeover and a new push. So, there could be a possibility that WWE decide to use the couple together on screen.
For now, though, there is no confirmation that Vega has signed a new deal with WWE. But the plan is for the company to bring her back into the fold eventually.
Vega did not get many in-ring opportunities during his last run on WWE. It will be interesting to see if that changes if and when she returns.
