Thea Trinidad (Zelina Vega) and Andrade worked together on WWE and were released by the company in the space of a few months
Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) shared her reaction as Andrade was released by WWE.
Vega, who was also released by the company a few months back hasn’t wrestled much but she is doing a great job as a streamer.
Andrade and Vega were paired up on NXT and they dominated the brand. El Idolo is a former NXT Champion and his move up with Vega onto the main roster saw him win the US title too.
However, WWE were never able to make the pair work on the main roster. Andrade put on great performances time and again, but things just didn’t click.
Vega and Andrade also formed a heel stable with Angel Garza but that was broken up just before the 2020 WWE Draft.
While Garza was brought back by WWE, Vega was released and Andrade wasn’t seen on TV since the draft. He called for his release recently and that was initially denied before WWE let him go.
Andrade was pleased with the outcome of all this and also tweeted out his thanks to several stars.
Triple H, Paul Heyman and William Regal were named in his tweeted:
Many current WWE stars tweeted out in support of Andrade and all that he had done in the company.
Vega and Andrade could have dominated WWE given their talent but this was just not meant to be.
It is to be seen what is next for Andrade but Vega had some incredible words to share with her “brother”:
“Since the moment I met you, I knew that you not only were an amazing person but also one of the most talented in this business and you’d be successful no matter what. I’m so grateful to know you, share these memories and have a brother for life. Love you hermano”
Vega and Andrade formed a great pair and they also had some fun cosplays together. Pairing them again in the future could be a route too but no one knows where the pair are headed.
Andrade has several options for now with Mexico, Japan or even AEW calling. Vega hasn’t spoken about a return to wrestling but she is too good to not be in the business.
