These are the results, reaction from WWE NXT 2.0 from December 21
December 21 edition of WWE NXT 2.0 tried to end the year on a high note. Especially with the surprise appearance of former WWE Champion AJ Styles.
Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai were put together on a street fight that looked like a final match between two NXT Veterans.
From Dexter Lumis to Creed Brother. This episode of NXT 2.0 had it all. But, first, let us find out more about how NXT ended the year.
WWE NXT 2.0 Results
Tommaso Ciampa is all set to have his rematch with Bron Breakker
Tommaso called Bron Breakker and mocked him to think he could ever defeat The Blackheart. The NXT Champion accepted a match against Breakker at New Year’s ever. However, he made it clear that the rookie is still not ready to hold the title.
Breakker promised Ciampa that he would defeat him at New Year’s Evil. He is clearly the focus of NXT 2.0. Breakker is expected to shine in the future.
Street Fight: Raquel Gonzalez vs Dakota Kai
Gonzalez and Dakota Kai battled backstage, throwing each other around with no mercy in a backstage fight. They went hard into the cement walls. Officials had to come in to tell them to start the match in the ring.
Big Mama Cool pulled out a series of weapons from below the ring that The Captain of Team Kick gladly used against her. Gonzalez even sent Kai hard onto the steel steps and, in the end, pulled her back into the ring to hit a Chignona Bomb on a trash can for the win.
The Creed Brothers went on against Grizzled Young Veterans
Joe Gary and Harland apologized to Brian Kendrick for putting him in harm’s way. Kendrick announced that he had resigned as a coach and challenged Harland to a match.
Drake protected Gibson and set up for the Grizzled Young Veterans to isolate Julius Creed for a moment. Brutus Creed tagged in and took a vicious combination elbow drop.
Julius got the hot tag and hit an impressive dropkick which shifted the momentum. Drake hit a suicide dive into the announce table, which led to a furious brawl with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen.
Dexter Lumis vs Trick Williams
Dexter Lumis took on Trick Williams as Diamond Mine appeared on the stage to watch the match closely, also let by an angry Roderick Strong. Lumis caught Trick sliding and super kicked him.
Trick trapped Lumis in a headlock but couldn’t take advantage of it. Williams even tried to bash him with a shoe, but The Tortured Artist ducked it and finally hit The Silence submission to pick up the victory.
Grayson Waller frustrates Hartwell as AJ Styles makes his first NXT 2.0 appearance
Waller mocked Indi Hartwell, and Pirotta stopped her from shooting at the loudmouth. Finally, AJ Styles made a surprise entrance after Waller laid out Dexter Lumis.
The Phenomenal One said that he was impressed by some of the NXT 2.0 but was not impressed by Waller as Styles felt like Waller was mimicking his style.
Waller even threatened to take out Styles but backed off at the last moment. Instead, the rookie told Styles that he wanted him next after losing to Omos.
Von Wagner took on Edris Enofe
Riddle convinced MSK to call out Imperium next week. But Imperium refused to see MSK as a threat warning that the group had a “general”.
Robert Stone seemed to distract Wagner. However, his overconfident cost him the match as he got a surprise roll-up as Enfoe defeated Wagner.
Pete Dunne is set for action against Tony D’ Angelo
Tony D’ Angelo talked smack about Pete Dunne, which did not impress The Bruiserweight.
D Angelo seemed to hit his second gear when Dunne slapped him in the face. He sent The Bruiserweight hard into the corner. However, Dunne made him pay. He fired back with a flurry of knee strikes and a running snap kick.
The rookie fought back by pulling at the mouth of Dunne and ripping out his mouthguard. However, the Bruiserweight reversed D’Angelo’s finisher in the end for the win.
