WWE NXT Preview: NXT TakeOver: In Your House was an exceptional PPV with Io Shirai becoming the women’s champion.
However, there were two other belts defended on the night. Keith Lee kept his NXT North American title while Adam Cole did the same with his NXT title.
Cole will be back in action again on Wednesday and this is where we start off with the WWE NXT preview.
While Cole celebrated keeping his title against Velveteen Dream in a brutal fight, the night didn’t go all of the Undisputed Era’s way.
Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish came out to help Cole in the fight but ended up facing Dexter Lumis. However, Lumis got the upper hand on the pair by getting them into the trunk of his car and driving off.
No one knows where the UE pair are, and Cole would be looking to gain some revenge in this non-title bout on NXT.
Finn Balor picked up a huge win over Damien Priest, his attacker from recent weeks, but the Prince wants more retribution this week took.
Cameron Grimes picked up a freak win over Balor a few weeks back. However, that was achieved thanks to a lot of help from Priest.
Balor wants to get the win over Grimes on this week’s episode, and it will be interesting to see if the Technical Savage can pull off another upset.
Shirai winning the NXT Women’s title was incredible given how much work she had put in over the past year or so.
The Japanese star beat Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair to the crown in a triple threat match.
Shirai will start her reign as a new era dawns on NXT. However, what will she say to the NXT Universe? Find out more on this week’s NXT.
