WWE NXT Preview: Last week’s NXT had a couple of title defences which didn’t actually go the way they could have.
Velveteen Dream lost his fight against Adam Cole for the NXT Championship, but there was a lot of interference.
Io Shirai also put on a great show against Charlotte Flair, but that match ended in a DQ for the champion.
This week’s WWE NXT could clear out some of those problems, and here is the preview for the Black and Gold brand.
Cameron Grimes seems to be in the cross-hairs of Finn Balor as the former Universal Champion tries to find out who attacked him.
Balor and Grimes clash last week and the Demon will take on the Technical Savage on this week’s show. Grimes might not be as experienced in WWE as Balor is, but the Technical Savage is still one of the best on NXT.
While the Queen kept hold of her NXT crown last week, a familiar face appeared. Charlotte seemed set to destroy Shirai’s knee via the ring post but Rhea Ripley came out to make the save.
The former champion hadn’t been seen since WrestleMania 36, but she did save Shirai. Ripley hasn’t also gotten her rematch after losing the title, and it will be interesting to see what happens next.
Dream’s hopes of winning the NXT championship also came to fruition but it just didn’t happen. The Undisputed Era came out to cause problems in the title match, however, Dexter Lumis came out of nowhere to take out a couple of them.
However, his interference also got the referee down which cost Dream the title. Lumis actually tried to save Dream but it didn’t work out.
There is a lot unknown about Lumis and hopefully, we will learn more about the mysterious character.
