WWE NXT Preview 18 March 2020: NXT might not feel like a normal NXT thanks to the spread of the coronavirus

WWE NXT Preview: Last week’s NXT had some blockbuster moments and many expected the storylines to continue this time around.

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano tore the house down in a brutal brawl. Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream also shared some insights about their possible battle.

In fact, Cole was going to celebrate his NXT title reign on the upcoming NXT episode. However, all that seems to be hypothetical as news coming in isn’t that great.

There is no news of any matches or stars coming out to the show. Rumours have suggested that NXT will carry a modified format with no real matches taking place.

This is something we have seen on the recent Raw and SmackDown episodes. Both of the main brands haven’t featured a lot of brawls and there have been several interviews in place.

The shows also have played old matches from the recent PPVs and it will be interesting to see what NXT does.

Preview to a huge WrestleMania 36 bout?

Obviously, everyone might be talking about the possible match between Dream and Cole. However, the other big match sees Rhea Ripley face Charlotte.

Ripley will defend her NXT Women’s title against the Queen. The pair have attacked each other in recent weeks, and it will be interesting to see if the champion has something to say after last week’s clash.

Tag title madness

The Undisputed Era might be on a bit of a slide after losing two titles in recent weeks. They tried to regain the NXT tag titles from the Broserweights but ended up losing.

The Grizzled Young Veterans also had some part to play in the previous match, and we should see a triple threat clash announced for the titles ahead of the next NXT special.

Of course, all WWE shows will be broadcast from the Performance Center, but that shouldn’t stop it from being a great match.

Lee in a muddle?

Keith Lee saw off the challenge of Cameron Grimes in the previous week, however, the Limitless One was attacked by Damien Priest.

Dominik Dijakovic came out to help Lee, but got a pummelling, possibly due to a misunderstanding.

Will Lee be able to explain his actions or will more challengers try to claim his North American title?

Whatever happens, this should be an interesting NXT episode.
