WWE NXT Preview: This week’s NXT sees more action in the Cruiserweight round-robin tournament with one major storyline.
Drake Maverick was released by WWE but he is still competing in the championship. He is 1-1 and this could be his final performance in the company.
However, he has a chance of making things problematic for WWE, and here is where we star this week’s NXT preview.
Maverick to make things crazy?
Maverick faces Kushida as he is 1-1 in the competition. A loss will knock him out of the tournament and possibly WWE, but a win could make things difficult in the competition.
A win will take Maverick to 2-1 and make it a three-horse race in his group with all members at 2-1.
Will he make things difficult for WWE or will Maverick end his WWE career on a low, find out more on this week’s NXT.
Ripley vs Shirai
Charlotte has been doing a lot of work by appearing on all three brands since picking up the NXT title. However, she has been involved in a battle with Io Shirai recently. Rhea Ripley, the former champion, came out to make the save for Shirai but she wasn’t happy.
Now, Ripley faces Shirai on this week’s NXT and she can send a message to Charlotte. Ripley hasn’t received her rematch for the title yet, and a win over Shirai should increase her chances of getting one.
UE vs Lumis
The Undisputed Era have found their next target in Dexter Lumis. The mysterious character has interfered in several matches of the Era, including the NXT title clash between Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream.
Now, the Era will have a chance of setting the record straight. Roderick Strong faces off against Lumis on this week’s show, and it should be an incredible fight.
Will Lumis rise up to the challenge or will the Era leave a mark? Find out more on this week’s show.
