WWE NXT Preview: NXT returns to action after a packed WWE Raw which saw several important matches take place.
Last week’s NXT ended on a cliffhanger as Tommaso Ciampa was beaten down by Karrion Kross.
However, WWE NXT will have some other big matches on this week’s show, and here is a preview of what all is in store.
NXT Interim Cruiserweight matches
WWE decided to mix things up by splitting the cruiserweights into two groups of four. The round-robin format competition will continue with Drake Maverick facing off against Jake Atlas in Group A.
Maverick was one of the stars released by WWE a week back, but he will still compete in this competition.
It is unlikely he will pick up many wins or reach the next part of the competition, but at least we get to see him in action one more time.
Another big debut is also on the cards as Jack Gallagher taking on El Hijo del Fantasma. This will be the debut of Fantasma on WWE, and it will be interesting to see how he does against the wily Gallagher.
The third Cruiserweight clash sees Tony Nese face off against Kushida.
Rivalry continues
Tegan Nox got some help from Shotzi Blackheart last week, and the pair will team up this time around.
They face the pairing of Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai, and there is a lot of bad blood between the quartet.
Kai and Nox have been going at it for a while, and it will be interesting to see what Blackheart brings into this story.
The Dream vs The Demon
Last week, The Velveteen Dream came out to speak despite Adam Cole skipping his meeting. Dream called Cole the best NXT Champion but wanted the title, but that got Finn Balor interested.
The Demon challenged Dream to a match on NXT, and this could be one of the best of the year.
Balor is one of the best performers in the ring, but is it time the Dream to cause nightmares to the Demon?
