WWE NXT ratings: AEW had a huge show ahead of this week’s AEW vs NXT war with Kenny Omega and Don Callis speaking up.
The new AEW Champion boosted Impact Wrestling’s ratings but making a shock appearance on the rival show on Tuesday.
There was also the return of Sting to see and The Icon made a huge impact without saying a lot. WWE NXT had their own show to highlight after an excellent WarGames.
There were a few injuries and big returns too. Karrion Kross was finally back after a long lay-off due to an injury.
Raquel Gonzalez also impressed and here are the results from this week’s show.
Jake Atlas beats Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
Grizzled Young Veterans beat Ever-Rise and Imperium
Tommaso Ciampa beats Cameron Grimes
Pete Dunne beats Killian Dain
Raquel Gonzalez beats Ember Moon
The appearance of Sting and even Omega, to an extent, took AEW Dynamite’s ratings to the 1million mark.
AEW got in 995,000 viewers, which was up from last week, and destroyed NXT. The Black and Gold brand only brought in a total of 659,000 viewers, which also was a minor gain from last week.
This was also the biggest margin between the two brands since the middle of March 2020. Showbuzz Daily shared the ratings and there was more good news for one brand.
AEW also ranked #2 in the 18-49 demography while NXT came in a poor #37. However, when it came to overall viewership, there wasn’t much of a difference.
AEW got in at #55 while NXT got in at #75. Dynamite’s Winter is coming special was a huge list last week as it clocked in 913,000 viewers, partially thanks to Sting and then Omega winning the title from Jon Moxley.
NXT brought in around 658,000 viewers last week, and they have a lot of work to do if they want to get the better of AEW and Dynamite.
