WWE NXT Results and Grades: The main talking point regarding this week’s NXT was seeing what Dexter Lumis would do against NXT Champion Adam Cole.

Lumis had kidnapped a couple of Undisputed Era stars at TakeOver: In Your House, but they were released ahead of the clash.

WWE NXT had some major surprises too, and there are the results and grades.

Cole hands out a warning

Cole came out and claimed he would beat anyone he faced, including Lumis. Lumis was still playing hide and seek it seems but only Roderick Strong could see him.

Grade C

Cole’s work on the microphone was great but this segment wasn’t all that needed. It would have been better if Lumis had released the two kidnapped stars in this segment.

Rivalry continues from TakeOver

Keith Lee defeated Johnny Gargano to keep his NXT North American title. Now, Lee and Mia Yim teamed up to face Gargano and Candice LeRae.

It was Gargano that picked up the win as Lee was checking on LeRae who was hit by a move.

Gargano and LeRae beat Lee and Yim

Grade B

Gargano got his revenge from TakeOver and it was great seeing him embrace his heel nature further by caring about the win more than his wife.

Indus Sher dominate

Indus Sher came out with Malcolm Bivens as they easily defeated Mikey Delbrey and Mike Reed. Bivens then came out to celebrate with the victors, his clients.

Indus Sher beat Delbrey and Reed

Grade C

Sher need to build up their stock and picking up squash matches is the way to go to.

Balor vs Grimes

There were segments featuring Robert Stone failing to recruit Rhea Ripley while Breezango explained how they want to be taken more seriously.

The next match saw Finn Balor take on Cameron Grimes in a rematch from a couple of weeks ago. Grimes was hit by Damien Priest before the clash and he tried to get away from the match.

However, William Regal ensured the clash went ahead and Balor picked up an easy win.

Balor beats Grimes

Grade B

The segments ahead of the match were great too and we saw more of Grimes as a character than we have in a long time.

Balor also set his sights on Lee’s title and it will be interesting to see how this goes.

Kai vs Catanzaro

Dakota Kai came out to take on Kacy Catanzaro, however, Raquel Gonzalez helped Kai get the win.

Kayden Carter then came out to help her partner but Gonzalez again destroyed Carder with a huge chokeslam.

Kai beats Catanzaro

Grade B

Kai and Gonzalez need a rivalry and this one against Catanzaro and Carter could be a good move from WWE.

Fantasma unmasks himself

Drake Maverick challenged El Hijo del Fantasma for the Cruiserweight title. The champion accepted but the participants were surrounded by masked men.

Instead of fighting them off, Fantasma attacked Maverick and the two men joined in. The two men were revealed to be Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde. While Fantasma also revealed himself to be Santos Escobar.

Grade B

This could be a great angle with the champion being heel and Maverick now fighting for the title. Maverick was backed a lot during his championship chase, and it will be interesting to see what he does next.

Cole vs Lumis

Cole was able to squirm out from a Kate Gatame but when it was locked in again by Lumis, Bobby Fish distracted the ref while Strong attacked him.

It was Cole who got the win but the Era decided to attack Lumis after this. Velveteen Dream then came out to fight off the Era with Lumis and Scarlett Bordeaux placed an hour glass in front of Cole.

Cole beats Lumis

Grade A

This was a fun match with a lot of interference from the Era. It was great seeing Dream back on NXT but a clash between Karrion Kross and Cole for the title would be great.

NXT TV ratings and figures

NXT again took a hit with the ratings as it brought in just 673,000 viewers, which is down from last week.

AEW too another point in the Wednesday Wars by logging in 677,000 viewers but even that was low for them from last week.
